EXPRESS® 50 SG
Systemic, post-emergence sulfonylurea herbicide for broadleaf weed control, for use on Pioneer USA sunflower hybrids tolerant to Express® 50 SG.
ACTIVE SUBSTANCE
• Tribenuron-methyl - 500 g/kg
MECHANISM OF ACTION
• Express™ 50 SG contains tribenuron-methyl - a herbicide from the sulfonylurea group.
• Express™ 50 SG is absorbed primarily through leaves and roots and rapidly moves throughout the entire plant. The herbicide blocks cell division in the growing points of roots and stems of susceptible plants.
• Weed growth stops several hours after treatment, but visible symptoms appear 5-10 days later. Complete weed death occurs within 15-25 days. Less sensitive weed species and advanced growth stage plants may not die completely, but remain stunted in their development and do not compete with the crop for nutrients and water. Express™ 50 SG is most effective when applied to small, actively growing weeds.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS
• Best results are achieved when Express™ 50 SG is applied to small, actively growing weeds.
• Application of Express™ 50 SG at the registered dose of 4 g/ha guarantees destruction of stubborn weeds such as cocklebur, lambsquarters, and overgrown Canada thistle.
• Express™ 50 SG is applied maximum 1 time per growing season.
• Express™ 50 SG is selective with regard to the growth stage of tolerant Pioneer sunflower hybrids.
• The growth stage of weeds is crucial for herbicidal effect. Express® 50 SG destroys weeds that have already emerged or are emerging during application.
