Description
Universal mid range
The SERVO 3000 represents the mid range of PÖTTINGER hitch-mounted reversible ploughs. Matched to tractors in the medium power class up to 240 Hp, this plough features a simple yet impressive control centre and a wide choice of customisable options, tailored to meet your needs. The plough is available with three to six furrows.
Advantages
Easy adjustment with the SERVOMATIC center
With the SERVOMATIC adjustment technology, you can quickly and easily adapt the plough to the tractor and the soil conditions.
1. First furrow width
The basic setting of the updated SERVOMATIC control centre is made depending on the tractor's inner track and is adjusted mechanically via the inner claw screw. If desired, this can be conveniently done with a hydraulic cylinder. The curved shape of the carrier casting allows a wide adjustment range for different tractor inner tracks between 1000 and 1500 mm.
2. Draw point adjustment
The draw point on SERVO ploughs is factory-set for normal working conditions. The lower links of the tractor's linkage swing so that the plough automatically aligns itself on the optimum draw line, which crosses the middle of the tractor's rear axle. This ensures optimum power transmission without side pull.
For special requirements, such as ploughing on steep terrain or changing the side pressure, the drawbar point can be adjusted with a claw screw. If a cylinder is fitted for pivoting the plough beam, the drawbar point correction is integrated via a stop that limits the cylinder stroke when pivoting inwards.
3. Hydraulic furrow width adjustment
As an option, the furrow width of the individual working elements can be adjusted hydraulically. Depending on the distance between the housings (point to point), different furrow widths are possible. The front furrow is adjusted via the four-stage linkage of the SERVOMATIC control centre so that it is synchronised with the other housings, and the drawbar point is optimised accordingly.
4. Beam angle
The plough beam angle is adjusted via a beam lifting mechanism and must be corrected when the ploughing depth is changed. The beam lifting screw is protected in a closed guide and can be adjusted without the need for tools.
Hydraulic furrow width adjustment PLUS
Variable furrow width
Depending on the terrain conditions – soil type and characteristics – the furrow width may need to be adjusted to achieve optimum working results. Depending on the distance between the bodies (point to point), different furrow widths can be achieved.
To ensure uniform turning of the furrow crest, the furrow width must be adapted when the ploughing depth is changed, in order to maintain a constant coefficient between ploughing depth and furrow width.
The furrow width can also be changed for agronomic reasons to achieve different furrow shapes.
PLUS convenience
Adjusting the furrow width on SERVO ploughs using the PLUS hydraulic adjustment system is easy, convenient and can be done while driving. This allows the furrow width to be changed without the need for tools. The disc coulters and depth adjustment wheels also adapt automatically.
For this function, the tractor must be equipped with a double-acting hydraulic distributor. Once adjusted to the tractor's inner track, the width of the front furrow is automatically adjusted when the overall furrow width changes. This is done via the four-link linkage in the control centre in synchronisation with the other bodies.
Indirect control
The furrow width of each body on ploughs with hydraulic adjustment is controlled indirectly via a lever driven by a hydraulic cylinder. When activated, any change in the cylinder is transmitted extremely smoothly and precisely to the body via the furrow width control lever.
Laterally positioned
With the PLUS adjustment system, the pivot points of the bodies are positioned on the side of the plough beam. This eliminates the need for large holes in the beam, which increases its strength. For a longer service life, the pivot bearings are designed with the possibility of lubrication.
Multiple positions
On SERVO ploughs without hydraulic furrow width adjustment, the housings are adjusted manually. This is done according to the local conditions using a bolt and a hole pattern.
Hydraulic stone protection NOVA
Ready for the toughest tasks
Smooth and trouble-free operation in areas with a high stone content or rocky soil is no problem, thanks to the reliable NOVA stone protection system. The selection of extremely durable materials in combination with precisely controlled hydraulics make the system an indispensable tool in difficult conditions. The ability to continuously work with high ploughing quality increases productivity and contributes to higher area efficiency.
Innovation
The optimized design of the system brings significant advantages in the field. The built-in cylinder is protected from dirt and damage by a forged mounting bracket. The components are configured to provide high working clearance when deflecting - up to 42 cm upwards and 20 cm sideways. The NOVA element has a compact movement radius, which reduces the load on the rear and is located close to the frame.
Controllable force
With the help of a single-acting hydraulic connection, the pressure in the hydraulic system can be adjusted precisely and quickly. This allows an adjustable starting pressure between 1.2 kg and 1.5 kg. As the deflection increases, the return force also increases to ensure rapid re-sinking into the soil. A central pressure control unit with a total of three or four hydraulic accumulators reliably absorbs high peak loads and protects the machine.
Safety first
In addition to the NOVA element, a safety shear bolt is installed, which prevents damage to the plough when colliding with large obstacles. This ensures that the plough bodies and the beam are protected from excessive stress. The bolt is hardened for clean shear, making it easy to replace.
Improved traction with Traction Control system
As an option, the TRACTION CONTROL system for improved traction can optimise the transmission of power from the tractor to the soil. The additional load on the tractor's rear axle improves its traction. The improved traction leads to reduced wheel slip and prevents soil compaction caused by skidding. In addition, fuel consumption per hectare is reduced and productivity is increased thanks to more efficient movement.
- Fuel consumption per hectare is reduced by up to 10%
- Wheel slip is reduced by up to 50%
- Increased productivity
TRACTION CONTROL is available for the 5-furrow SERVO 3000 models.
Increased traction against soil compaction
When the plough is used with active tractor traction control, the electronics constantly adjust the height of the linkage to the required pulling force. This means that the plough is slightly lifted in compacted areas, so that the required power remains constant.
With the additional traction provided by TRACTION CONTROL, the plough can be pulled with better control over its position. This reduces the intensity of corrections from the tractor's linkage, which deviates less from the set height. As a result, the plough maintains the same working depth even in compacted areas, and the soil is ploughed and loosened evenly.
