Husar Class 20.8 WG
A selective systemic herbicide for the control of broadleaf and annual grass weeds in wheat, rye, and triticale. Also exhibits residual soil activity.
Description
MODE OF ACTION:
A selective, systemic herbicide from the ALS inhibitor group. It contains Thiencarbazone-methyl (HRAC 2 (B)) from the triazolinone group and Iodosulfuron (HRAC 2 (B)) from the sulfonylurea group.
Once applied to weeds, the product is rapidly absorbed through the leaves, immediately stopping their growth and development, and results in complete weed death within 4 to 6 weeks after application.
The product also has soil activity, as Thiencarbazone-methyl is taken up both by the leaves and by the roots and shoots of emerging weeds.
Visual symptoms of herbicidal action include yellowing of the weeds, chlorotic spots, followed by necrosis and total weed death.
The safener Mefenpyr-diethyl ensures selectivity by accelerating the metabolism of the active substances in cereal crops.
Husar Class 20.8 WG also controls dormant meristematic tissues, preventing weed regrowth.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
-
Thiencarbazone-methyl – 25 g/kg
-
Iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium – 33 g/kg
-
Mefenpyr-diethyl (safener) – 150 g/kg

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE:
-
The optimal application period is in spring, after winter dormancy, when the crop has entered the tillering stage.
-
Weeds are best controlled in early growth stages.
-
The dose depends on weed density, growth stage, and weed species persistence.
-
Apply in calm weather and avoid spray drift onto neighboring crops.
-
Husar Class 20.8 WG should only be applied to healthy crops with active growth.
-
Do not treat crops under stress or delayed growth due to drought, waterlogging, frost, disease, pests, nutrient deficiency, lodging caused by flooding, or other unlisted stressors.
-
Do not apply immediately after periods of sub-zero or near-zero temperatures, or when large day/night temperature fluctuations are expected.
-
Always apply with an adjuvant
