Mechanism of action:
Nitrogen is mostly in ammonium form, and phosphorus - in the best water-soluble and digestible form for plants - monocalcium orthophosphate.
After the fertilizer granule comes into contact with the soil, the phosphorus absorbs water and hydrolyzes to form an acidic solution of three compounds. Two of the compounds penetrate the soil fluid and immediately begin to nourish the plants. The third phosphorus compound functions as a 'reserve' and covers the needs of the plant during the later stages of its development. The presence of ammonium nitrogen and sulfur creates synergy between the elements, reduces immobility and increases the efficiency of fertilization.
