Ingenious concept for every need
The rigid mulch seed drills from PÖTTINGER feature a two-row disc harrow for soil preparation. The transport width is the same as the working width (3.0 m or 4.0 m).
For the foldable mulch seed drills produced by PÖTTINGER, the three-part configuration ensures perfect ground contour following. The outer sections have a high degree of movement flexibility. To achieve a transport width of 3.0 m, the wings of the TERRASEM V models are folded.
The folding sections are loaded via nitrogen accumulators, ensuring even pressure distribution across the entire working width in every position.
20% larger hopper for even higher productivity
- The new generation Terrasem features a modern design and increased seed hopper capacity – 4,700 liters (optional) for the 4 m and 6 m models, and 5,600 liters for the 8 m and 9 m machines.
- The fan is positioned high at the front of the hopper, where no additional dust protection is required.
- Models equipped with fertilization feature a pressurized hopper.
- The new hydraulically folding loading platform is now located on the side rather than at the front, and runs along the entire length of the hopper, providing greater convenience for the operator.
Disc section for pre-cultivation
- In TERRASEM mulch seed drills, soil preparation is carried out by a two-row disc harrow.
- The discs have a diameter of 510 mm, are mounted on rubber elements for overload protection, require no maintenance, and loosen and move the soil across the entire working width.
- An aggressive disc position ensures optimal soil penetration: +15° horizontal angle in the direction of travel and +7° vertical angle, creating an ideal seedbed with finely structured soil at seed level. Large amounts of crop residues are mixed into the soil while simultaneously reducing weed pressure.
- New! Reinforced disc mounts for reliable operation in all conditions.
**NEW! X-shaped configuration of the cultivation discs**
- The new configuration of the cultivation elements ensures that the machine operates 100% in a straight line.
- An additional WAVE DISC positioned in the center guarantees uniform movement across the entire surface.
Dual Disc precision seeding discs
-
The proven dual disc seeding unit ensures ideal plant density
-
Straight discs with a diameter of 380 mm create a perfectly even seedbed, while their maintenance-free bearings guarantee a long service life
-
The discs are bolted to the hub and offset by 25 mm for easier and more aggressive penetration in heavy soils, requiring less pressure and reducing wear
-
A spacing of 125 mm between the seeding discs promotes optimal plant development and suppresses weed growth
-
Up to 120 kg pressure on the seeding discs and up to 180 kg on the fertilizing discs
-
Four-point linkage between the seeding unit and the packer ensures optimal ground contour following, even in the most challenging conditions
-
Press wheels ensure uniform seeding depth – each seeding disc is mounted on an independent parallelogram for excellent ground following, even at high working speeds
-
Thanks to the maintenance-free design with rubber elements, the seeding units remain highly flexible and require no servicing
-
Behind each seeding disc, a rubber roller closes the seed furrow and presses the soil over the seed
-
The rubber rollers and large packer wheels are equipped with patented scrapers that prevent soil build-up, ensuring smooth operation even in wet conditions
Easy operation
-
Seeding depth, fertiliser placement depth (for Fertiliser models), and pressure on the seeding elements can be adjusted hydraulically during operation from the tractor cab
-
Settings are displayed on the terminal – seeding element pressure, seed depth, fertiliser depth
-
The memory function allows maintaining the same working depth at all times
-
A scale, clearly visible from the tractor cab, shows the set working depth of the disc section
-
Spring-mounted side deflectors are fitted as standard on both sides to ensure even surface coverage
-
The optimal weight of the seed drill prevents machine bouncing when the hopper is partially emptied
